This would be the second “Capturing the Magic” post…so I think we have a series now, folks! It’s a blog series where I celebrate the people who live alongside me in the “world-between-the-worlds,”–the inbetween, that liminal space where spirit and creativity and magic and flow exist. I’m genuinely thrilled to share this mini branding session that we did as part of the 30 Healers Project, for Sunny Angel, captured at the serene Bisley Yurt. Sunny is a healing oasis…an expansive, peaceful spirit who offers everything from Reiki to past life regression. We spent time together documenting the warmth and intention she pours into her craft, creating a visual home for her business.

For the healers, makers, and the incredible creatives I work with, being photographed is about cheating the “invisibility tax.” We spend so much time translating our inner lives for people who don’t “get it” that being seen can feel a bit like an extinction event. A dedicated healer branding photoshoot is an act of hope. By capturing the actual texture of your energy, the light, the tools, and the serene atmosphere of your space, we build a visual mythology that tells your people you are “safe” before they even book a discovery call with you or show up to your studio.

To capture energy, you have to be in a space that holds it. The Bisley Yurt provided a rustic, rooted charm for this mini brand session. Think stunning wood floors and glorious rainbow streamers that let in the evening light. For a branding shoot, the environment acts as a secondary character that mirrors your inner world. You want to have a location that feels like you–and bonus points if the location is a part of where you are already practicing your healing or craft!

Energy is found in the flow of your work. We didn’t just take “poses”; we captured Sunny in the quiet power of her craft. One of my favorite moments from this photoshoot is where Sunny began to play with a ball of energy in her hands…you could see it growing and moving and it was incredible. More than that, these images demonstrate what it’s actually like to work with you! We also captured some photos of her sound bowl and her book. Showing these sacred tools helps your dream clients feel the weight and intention of what you do.

As a Scorpio rising, I’m always hunting for the depth that’s underneath the surface. In this session, that shows up how we used the soft, natural evening light of the Yurt to highlight Sunny’s radiating warmth. It’s about capturing those “stubbornly alive” moments where your personality shines through the lens…that energy will bust through any mount of nerves you might be experiencing during your session.

Capturing energy also means making it useful for your business. Brand sessions, whether they are mini shoots like this one or full-day sessions mean that we create a library of images that you can revisit over and over when creating content. I photograph with design in mind with plenty of negative space so you can use them on your website and socials, ensuring that your brand looks professional, cohesive, and deeply aligned with your soul across every platform.
The best way to capture your healer’s energy is to work with someone who gets it! This session, just like every session, was a collaboration of two spirits—Sunny and me—finding our people in Maidenhead and Greater London and refusing to split our souls for a salary!!!
I’m so deeply thrilled with how these turned out. If you’re a healer or creative looking to tell your story through soulful photography, I’d love to help you capture your own magic.
